Chairman's message
By Neil Innes
Righteousness exalts a nation,
But sin is a disgrace to any people.
Proverbs 14: 34 (NIV)
In sending out the 2008 edition of the Breakfast News the executive are deeply thankful to the Lord and to all who participated for a successful Breakfast in 2007.
Preparations are now well underway for the 2008 Breakfast. The need for prayer in our nation is as great as ever. While there have been some encouragements and answers to prayer over the past year we need to continue daily before the throne of Grace. The Scripture above is a stark reminder of what exalts a nation. Let us make 4th June a day of prayer for our nation and our people, seeking God to have mercy upon us and enable us as a nation, to walk in paths of righteousness. In his letter to the church at Rome, the apostle Paul exhorts, ‘Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction and faithful in prayer’ Romans 12: 12 (NIV). Let us rejoice in what God is doing. When difficulties arise let us be patient and let us remain faithful in prayer at all times.
We look forward to welcoming you at the 2008 National Prayer Breakfast for Scotland at the Inchyra Grange Hotel Polmont on 4th June. Breakfast will be served from 07.00hrs and the breakfast programme will commence at 07.50hrs finishing at 09.00hrs.
