Financial statement
The Trustees and Executive of the National Prayer Breakfast for Scotland would like to thank you for your gifts over the last year. We particularly want to thank the Friends of the Breakfast who gave so generously. We know that this is only through our great God and His goodness to us in providing all our needs.
The total income of the Breakfast during the year ending 31st August 2009 was £7,559 and expenditure was £6,484. Of the total income some £2,312 was received in donations from the Friends of the Breakfast. With most gifts being gift aided we will receive an additional £473 which will be included in next year's accounts. This year, our income exceeded expenditure due to the generosity of Macdonald Hotels. Whilst we are looking at ways to keep expenditure down, there is also a need to increase our income. Sale of tickets provided about 69% of our income in 2009.
The viability of the National Prayer Breakfast for Scotland continues to be dependent upon your generous financial support. Your donations help us to maintain the ticket price at a reasonable level whilst ensuring the reputation of the Breakfast as a high quality event.
The price per ticket for the Prayer Breakfast planned for 2nd June 2010 is £25 per head with a concessionary rate of £18 being available for fulltime students and the unemployed.
